ME508 - Self-adhesive waterproofing membrane - Illbruck

ME508 is a self-adhesive membrane to make the internal connections of airtightness, and the protection between carpentry and structural work in the case of a tunnel installation in the bare outside.

Advantage:

Implementation: 

• Substrates must be dry and free of dust or grease.
• Coverage at connections: 50 mm minimum.
• At low temperatures or in the case of very porous and wet substrates it is recommended to apply the illbruck ME901 Primer Butyl & Bitumen primer with a brush or its sprayable version ME902 Butyl & Bitumen Spray and let it dry. Apply the adhesive membrane and mount it.
• Remove the 1st liner on one side of the membrane, position the membrane gradually on one of the two supports, then mount to avoid folds.
• It is advisable to keep the 2nd central liner to allow the membrane to support the movements between the different supports.
• Remove the 3rd liner, glue the membrane gradually on the other support and marouflage.

The ME508 membrane can be bonded either on the same plane, using its adhesive side or on 2 different planes thanks to its adhesive positioned on the opposite side.

Types of use: 

• Indoor : Connection between joinery and the airtightness plane
• On location : Protection between carpentry and structural work only in the case of tunnel installation on the outside bare. UV resistance before recovery: 6 months
