SMX 506 - Hybrid polymer glazing sealant - Soudal

Soudal SMX 506 is an elastic single-component glazing sealant, based on SMX hybrid polymer, neutral of high quality.
Soudal SMX506 is certified in accordance with ISO 11600 G 25 LM.

Features :

• Good adhesion to most substrates, even slightly damp.
• Recoatable with water-based paints.
• Does not contain solvents, isocyanates, acids, halogens or toxic components, completely neutral.
• Easy to apply and extrude, even in difficult conditions.
• Excellent adhesion (without primer).
• Unalterable color and resistant to UV rays.

Applications:

• Glazing seals between the glass and the window: wood, aluminium, steel or PVC.
• Product specially developed for use on self-cleaning glazing (eg SGGP434 Bioclean® and Pilkington Activ GlassTM).

Manual :

1. For the treatment of self-cleaning glazing, always follow the installation instructions of the glazing manufacturer.
2. Apply with a manual or pneumatic gun.
3. Clean with White Spirit or Soudal Surface Cleaner immediately after use (before hardening).
4. Finishing: With a soapy solution or a Soudal smoothing product, before lamination.
5. Repair: With the same product.
