Soudaseal 222 LM is a neutral sealant based on MS-Polymers.

Features :

• Good adhesion to most building materials
• EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .
• Very malleable, extrudable (even at low temperatures) and easy to finish under all temperature conditions.
• Phthalate-free
• Permanent elasticity after polymerization
• Virtually odorless
• No bubbles form, even in hot and humid weather.
• Can be applied without a primer on virtually all surfaces (except porous surfaces subject to close contact with water)
• Can be painted with water-based systems
• Excellent resistance to UV rays and all conditions

Applications:

• Connection and expansion joints in the construction sector: jointing of prefabricated elements, perimeter joints around door and window frames, etc.
• Applications where the sealant may need to be covered with water-based paints or lacquers.

Instructions for use:

1. Application method: With manual or pneumatic gun.
2. Cleaning product: With White Spirit or Soudal Surface Cleaner immediately after use (before hardening).
3. Finishing: Smoothing with soapy water or Soudal Smoothing Product before film coating.
4. Repair: With the same product.

1. Can the Soudaseal 222LM be used outdoors?
   Yes, it is perfectly suited for outdoor applications thanks to its good resistance to UV and weathering.
2. Can this sealant be painted?
   Yes, but a preliminary test is essential, as some paints can crack due to the elasticity of the product.
3. Does it adhere to natural stone without discoloration?
   Yes, 222LM is formulated not to migrate and not to stain natural stones.
4. Do we need a primary school?
   In most cases, no. However, very porous or delicate substrates may require a specific Soudal primer.
5. What is the difference between 222LM and a standard silicone?
   222LM is a hybrid polymer, more versatile and paintable, better adhesion, solvent-free, very low emission (EC1 PLUS), and higher mechanical resistance than a standard neutral silicone.
6. Can it be used in a food environment?
   No, this product is not certified for direct food contact.
7. How long does it take for it to dry completely?
   Polymerization depends on the thickness, but generally, 24 hours for ~2–3 mm, 7 days for complete polymerization.
