Moisture barrier - Injection gel against rising damp - Aquaplan

Solvent-free, ready-to-use injection gel designed to permanently stop rising damp in walls.
Simple and quick to inject using a silicone gun into holes drilled in a horizontal joint of the wall to be treated.

Application :

Moisture barrier can be used in solid brick, rapid block, lattice block, concrete block, aerated concrete, sand-lime stone and natural stone walls.
Can be used equally well in interior, exterior and cavity walls.

Useful information:

• Shelf life of 12 months if stored in a dry, cool and frost-free place in the original packaging.
• Ensure permanent ventilation around the treated wall.
• For decorative finishing, use vapor-permeable material or paint.
• For very damp and/or thick walls (> 30 cm) it is advisable to use MURS-INJECTION .
• Clean the equipment with water, immediately after the injection.
• 1.2 L of Moisture Barrier per m² of wall section.
  1 cartridge is suitable for approx. 1.4 running meters for a 20 cm thick wall.

Manual :

1. For best results, remove baseboards, panelling, plastering, paint and wallpaper to above the level of the area to be treated.
   This speeds up the drying process.
2. Drill holes with a diameter of 10-12 mm every 8-12 cm in a horizontal joint that is 5-7 cm above the floor slab.
3. The depth of the drill holes varies according to the thickness of the wall and is at least 80% of the thickness of the wall.
4. Open the Moisture Barrier cartridge at the top, cut 1cm off the nozzle from the cartridge and slide the flexible injection hose over the nozzle.
5. Inject the gel by bringing the injection tubing all the way to the end of the drilled hole, then gently pull back 2cm and then gently squeeze the gun handle as the injection tubing is slowly withdrawn from the drill hole.
6. Immediately remove excess product that may have flowed from the borehole before treating the next borehole.
7. Then seal the boreholes with mortar.
