Imperband - Cold adhesive sealing tape - Zep Industries

Imperband is intended to provide air and water sealing and is composed of a layer of cold adhesive butyl mastic and a tear-resistant complex of tinted aluminum protected from external attacks.
The cold adhesive side of the butyl is protected by a peelable silicone support.
Exceptional adhesion and strong resistance to tearing.

Properties :

• Does not contain bitumen or tar: avoids dripping on supports.
• Fire classification M 1: product with good fire resistance.
• Cold applicable: easy to use, no blowtorch required.
• Applies to supports such as: concrete, aluminum, wood, metal, glass, coatings based on hydraulic binders, PVC, etc.
• Resists between – 30°C and + 80°C, after application.

Applications:

Waterproofing of roof ridges, chimney surrounds, etc.
Grouting verandas, glass roofs, door or window frames, etc.

Repair of gutters, gutters, etc.
Protection of thermal insulation around insulated pipes.
Air conditioning and ventilation pipes.

Manual :

1. Clean and degrease the supports.
2. They must be dry, clean, healthy and free of crumbly parts.
3. Cut the strip to the desired length, peel off the protective film and put it in place, pressing firmly to avoid the formation of air bubbles.
4. In the event of an overlap between two strips, it must be at least 5 cm.
5. Note: In the case of watertightness, it is necessary to ensure that there is no risk of water retention.
