Wall Injection - Protection of walls against rising damp - IKO Pro

Water-repellent product based on silanes and siloxanes which is introduced into the mass of a solid damp wall by diffusion.

The pores and capillaries of the building material remain open and the vapor permeability of the support is maintained.

Implementation :

For best results, remove baseboards, plastering, wallpaper, paint, etc. up to 1 meter above injection holes (or 30 cm above humidity level) so that moisture can evaporate easily, during the drying of the treated areas.

Carefully inspect mortar joints and make necessary repairs to prevent leaks.

Drill grout holes 10mm in diameter, at an angle of 10-15%, in a horizontal joint 5-7cm from the ground. The holes will be drilled every 12 cm and to a depth reaching 4/5 of the thickness of the wall. In the case of walls more than 40 cm thick, holes will also be drilled in the same way on the other side of the wall.

Place the injection tubes ± 50 cm above the hole and push the inlet hose about 2 to 3 cm into the injection hole. Never push the injection tube directly into the hole, because the vertical distance between the tube and the area to be treated is decisive to ensure good penetration of the liquid into the wall.

Seal the joint between the inlet hose and the wall with quick-setting cement or mastic so that the product cannot flow back. Roughen the surface of the inlet hose if necessary, in order to improve the adhesion of the sealant.

Fill the injection tubes and maintain the liquid level for 1 hour. Repeat the treatment after 24 hours. After 48 hours, the injection is complete and the injection hoses can be removed.

If there is no flow or too rapid flow, stop the injection, drill two new holes on each side and 5 cm away from the old hole and start the injection again.
