Akemix 15 - Contact adhesive - Akemi

Universal one-component contact adhesive with strong adhesion for bonding rubber , wood , glass , metal , ceramics , leather , materials to each other and to each other.

Features :

• Good resistance to aging
• Heat resistance (up to approx. 50°C)
• Can be easily applied thanks to its low viscose consistency
• Excellent adhesion (shear resistance)
• Good humidity resistance

Use :

1. The parts to be bonded must be free from rust, grease, dirt and dust.
   It is recommended to give a rough touch to smooth surfaces and to clean them with AKEMI Universal Thinner.
2. Glue that is too cold must be brought to moderate heat of around 25 to 35°C.
   AKEMI Universal Thinner can be used to thin out a product in order to make it applicable again.
3. Apply the glue with a brush or a notched trowel.
   a) In the case of vapor permeable materials: apply the glue on one side only and assemble the parts without waiting.
   b) In the case of non-vapor permeable materials: apply the glue on both sides and leave in the open air for at least 10 minutes.
   The adhesive film should still be slightly tacky, but should not remain on the finger.
   Finally, firmly tighten the two parts against each other.
4. After complete drying of the glue, it is still possible to stick hot (50°C).
5. Heat accelerates and cold retards the hardening reaction.
6. Tools can be cleaned with AKEMI Universal Thinner.
