PU-18P - PU parquet glue - Soudal

PU-18P is a two-component, solvent-free, water-free polyurethane glue for bonding laminate parquet and solid parquet.

Excellent adhesion to the most common supports, also for underfloor heating.

Characteristics:

• No water or solvents.
• Easily malleable.
• High final strength.
• Rapid force recovery.

Application:

• PU-18P is perfectly suited for the interior bonding of solid floors, solid carpet floors, mosaic floors, slat floors, multilayer or ready-to-install parquet floors or laminate parquet floors. Also suitable for bonding exotic wood species.
• Suitable for indoor use on well-absorbent supports such as cement screeds, concrete layers and equalization products, or wooden, chipboard or OSB underfloors.

Conditioning:

• Color: white.
• Packaging: 4 kg bucket.

Instructions for use:

• Start by letting PU-18P reach room temperature before use.
• Add all the contents of component B to the entire contents of component A bucket.
• Mix the two components very carefully using a mixer and a drill for at least 2 minutes, so as to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
• Always mix only one package at a time (component A + component B). Any deviation from these mixing proportions has a deleterious effect on the hardening of the glue and its final mechanical properties.
• PU-18P should be used within 50 minutes of mixing the two components. Uses spatula Soudal B11. For parquet floors of less than 60 x 300 mm, use Soudal B3 spatula. In doing so, do not apply more glue to the support than the parquet area that can be laid within about 60 minutes.
• Lay the parquet in the glue with a slippery movement and tap with a rubber hammer.
• Ensure a good transfer of the glue to the parquet floor (cover of at least 80%).
• Possibly weight the parquet laid. After at least 24 hours, the parquet can be sanded and processed.
