EconoDry Light doormat - CUSTOMIZED

Please indicate the external dimensions of the doormat OR the frame, we will calculate the correct measurements at all.

ATTENTION: The profiles are installed perpendicular to the direction of travel.

If necessary, depending on the depth ordered and the width of the aluminum profiles + intervals, i.e. +- 35 mm. We adapt the width of the intervals (3 or 4 or 5 or 6 mm) or add aluminum elements in order to obtain the desired depth.

Description and composition

Economical and resistant CUSTOM-MADE roll-up entrance doormat to be fitted into a frame, made up of a supporting aluminum profile.

• The underside of the aluminum profile is entirely fitted with sound-absorbing cellular rubber intended to prevent the doormat from slamming on the floor.
• This roll-up doormat is made of aluminum profiles containing polyamide (nylon) felt inserts.
• Flexible 4mm black PVC strips connect the profiles. At regular intervals, the hard PVC strips are provided with perforations to remove dirt.
• The open structure ensures better absorption of moisture and dirt and allows dirt to be easily removed after rolling up the doormat.

This doormat is suitable for moderate or medium frequencies.

Production is made to measure and in one piece depending on the dimension in the direction of travel. Depending on the weight, the doormat can be divided without aesthetic consequences. If the width of the doormat exceeds 3 meters, the sections are placed next to each other, separated by an inverted connecting T.

The desired function and decor determine the design and division of the doormat.

The Economat Light has a height of 13, 18 or 22 mm and is placed in a smooth pit with a depth of 15, 20 or 25 mm respectively.

The corresponding built-in frames are made of anodized aluminum or brass.

If the doormat must be placed on the floor, an anodized aluminum bumper ramp is possible.

Given the materials used, we do not recommend installing underfloor heating below the pit.

When ordering the custom frame, it is necessary to indicate the external dimensions of the frame. Our technical services will calculate the useful dimensions of the doormat.

In order to compensate for the thickness of the doormat frame, it may be necessary to provide a re-surfacing (Egaline type) of the doormat bottom or a rubber underlay of a few mm, see on this page "RUB - Rubber underlay rubber for entrance doormats"

The weight of the Economat Econodry Light is respectively 11, 14 or 15 kg/m2 for the three heights.

Testing:

In collaboration with Ghent University.

• Fire test: The doormat corresponds to category Bfl in the direction of travel, in accordance with EN ISO 11925-2 and EN ISO 9239-1.
• Smoke test: The doormat corresponds to category S1.
• Light resistance: Resistance to photodegradation. Performed according to ISO 105 B02(1994) with a result in category 6-7, where category 8 is the best result (2002).
• Wronz test: Heavy wear test. The doormat gets a value of 25,000, i.e. the equivalent of 500,000 to 1,200,000 passages. We can provide test reports 02-796C, 02-797C and 02-798C.
• Static load test: There is no restriction for the load caused by normal passages, trolleys and wheelchairs. For heavy traffic, turning movements must be avoided, otherwise the manufacturer always recommends the use of a protection panel.

The fire and smoke tests were carried out according to classification EN 13501-1 (2007+A1:2009). The products have not been impregnated or treated with a coating, these are always durable characteristics of the materials used.

Ecological footprint :

The manufacturer is committed to reducing the ecological footprint for the production of its products.

For this reason, the products are made from 100% reusable energy and with local materials. Most of the materials used for the production of this doormat are reusable and can get a new life.

A little chemistry... :-) Quality and Difference between Polypropylene and Polyamide:

Polypropylene has a very good quality/price ratio and is hydrophobic! This material is ideal for applications that do not require excessive strength but have good abrasion resistance. Polypropylene is very resistant to chemicals, so it can be used for many applications.

Polyamide , better known as “Nylon”, is a fairly dense fiber with a fairly high elongation at break (15 to 20%). Its high elongation allows it to preserve the fasteners in the event of tension. Little extra: Polyamide does not blacken when burned. Polyamide absorbs water.
