Please provide the external dimensions of the doormat OR the frame, we will calculate the correct measurements for everything.

CAUTION: The profiles must be installed perpendicular to the direction of travel.

If necessary, depending on the ordered depth and the width of the aluminum profiles plus the gaps (approximately 35 mm), we adjust the gap width (3, 4, 5, or 6 mm) to achieve the desired depth.

Description and composition

Economical and more efficient custom-made roll-up entrance mat to be recessed into a frame, composed of an aluminum support profile.

• The underside of the aluminum profile is entirely covered with sound-absorbing cellular rubber designed to prevent the doormat from slapping against the floor.
• This reinforced roll-up doormat is made of aluminium profiles containing polypropylene felt inserts.
• Black PVC spacers of 4 mm and a 2 mm stainless steel cable connect the profiles.
• The open structure ensures better absorption of moisture and dirt and allows for easy removal of dirt after rolling up the doormat.
• OPTIONAL: Colored brushes or aluminum scrapers offer better dirt retention.

This reinforced doormat is suitable for moderate to medium frequency use.

The mat is custom-made and produced in a single piece, depending on the dimensions in the direction of travel. Depending on the weight, the doormat can be divided without affecting its appearance. If the width of the doormat exceeds 3 meters, the sections are laid side by side, separated by an inverted T-shaped connector.

The desired function and decor determine the design and division of the doormat.

The Economat Light has a height of 14, 19 or 23 mm and is placed in a smooth pit with a depth of 15, 20 or 25 mm respectively.

The corresponding recessed frames are made of anodized aluminum or brass.

In case the doormat needs to be placed directly on the floor, an anodized aluminum anti-scuff ramp is available.

Given the materials used, we advise against installing underfloor heating below the pit.

CHOICE OF DOORMAT FRAME

When ordering a custom-made frame, you must specify the frame's external dimensions . Our technical department will then calculate the usable dimensions of the doormat.

To compensate for the thickness of the doormat frame, it may be necessary to level the bottom of the doormat (using a leveling compound such as Egaline) or add a rubber underlay of a few millimeters; see "RUB - Rubber underlay for entrance doormats" on this page.

The weight of the Economat Heavy is respectively 14 or 15 kg/m2 for the two heights.

Tests:

In collaboration with Ghent University.

• Fire test: The doormat corresponds to category Dfl (impregnated version: Cfl) in the direction of travel, in accordance with EN ISO 11925-2 and EN ISO 9239-1.
• Smoke test: The doormat corresponds to category S2 (impregnated version: S1)
• Lightfastness: Resistance to photodegradation. Produced according to ISO 105 B02(1994) with a result in category 6-7, where category 8 is the best result (2002).
• Wronz Test: Heavy wear test. The doormat achieves a value of 25,000, i.e., the equivalent of 500,000 to 1,200,000 uses. We can provide test reports 02-796C, 02-797C, and 02-798C.
• Static load test: There are no restrictions on the load caused by normal traffic, trolleys, and wheelchairs. For heavy traffic, rotating movements should be avoided; otherwise, the manufacturer always recommends using a protective panel.

Fire and smoke tests were carried out according to the EN 13501-1 (2007+A1:2009) classification. The products were not impregnated or treated with a coating; these are simply inherent characteristics of the materials used.

   Yes, the custom-made model is ideal for installation in a frame or a space specifically designed for this purpose.
6. What is the difference between this and a regular doormat?
   The EconoVilt Heavy is distinguished by its aluminum structure (much more resistant), its intensive use, its custom manufacturing, and its significantly superior durability.
7. Is it non-slip?
   Yes, thanks to its weight, rigid structure and installation (freestanding or recessed), it offers excellent stability.
8. How to order custom-made items?
   Simply measure the desired width and length precisely. Indicate the dimensions when placing your order or requesting a quote. Confirm the custom manufacturing.
9. What is the manufacturing lead time?
   Custom-made products require a specific manufacturing time. This depends on the dimensions and quantities ordered.
