CA1400 Sealing Resin - Chemical Anchoring - Soudal

The sealing resin has been specially developed for fixing heavy loads up to 1400 kg.

Features :

• Based on vinylester resins
• Virtually odorless because it is styrene-free
• Can even be used on damp surfaces (damp boreholes)
• Complete hardening in 45 min. (at 20°C)

Applications:

• Used for stress-free anchoring of threaded rods, rebar, and concrete rebar in solid and hollow supports, even near edges.
• Also for the installation of stair railings, fences, posts, blinds, shutters, water heaters, TV screens, satellite dishes, shelves, radiators, and sanitary applications (washbasin, wall-hung toilet, etc.).
• It can also be used as a repair mortar on concrete, due to its grey color (after mixing).

Instructions for use:

1. Drill the hole according to the specifications (depth, diameter)
2. Clean the hole with a brush and then blow through it.
3. Screw the mixing nozzle onto the cartridge.
4. Extrude the first 10 cm onto cardboard until the mixture is homogeneous (uniform dark grey color).
5. Solid brick: fill the borehole by slowly removing the static mixer.
6. Hollow brick: insert a sieve and fill the hole by slowly removing the static mixer, so that the product is pressed through the sieve.
7. Introduce anchoring with a left-to-right rotational movement
8. Check if the borehole is properly filled.
9. Respect the open time and the curing time.
10. Do not move the anchor during the curing time.

3. What is the drying time before loading?
   The curing time depends on the ambient temperature and the substrate. Generally, curing can take place after a few tens of minutes to a few hours. Always refer to Soudal's technical data.
4. Does the resin cause stress in the material?
   No, unlike mechanical fixings, chemical anchoring does not exert any expansion pressure, thus preventing cracks and bursts.
5. Is it compatible with standard threaded rods?
   Yes, the CA1400 is compatible with standard metric threaded rods, rebar, and other common metal components.
6. Can it be used on cracked concrete?
   Yes, CA1400 resin is also suitable for cracked concrete, provided that the permissible loads are respected.
