Butyrub - Plastic sealant for low movement joints - Soudal

Butyrub is a high-quality, plastic, single-component, polybutene-based sealant.

Butyrub does not harden to the full depth, but forms an elastic, waterproof skin.

Characteristics:

• Very malleable.
• Forms an elastic and smooth film.
• Recoverable after 24 hours.
• Good adhesion on porous supports.
• Good resistance to chemicals.
• UV resistant.
• Resistant to climatic conditions.

Application:

• Joints with limited movement (max. 5%).
• Sealant for joints between masonry, door and window frames, window sills, etc.
• Installation of glazing only in wooden, concrete and steel frames, such as greenhouses.
• Sealing of seals in bodywork and container construction.
• Installation and repair of roof tiles.
• Repair and renovation of roofs and gutters.

Conditioning:

• Color: white, gray, brown, black.
• Packaging: 300 ml cartridge, 600 ml bag.

Instructions for use: 

• Apply with a manual or pneumatic gun.
• Finishes: with a spatula or a painter's knife.
• Clean with White Spirit or Soudal Surface Cleaner immediately after use (before curing).
• Apply at temperatures between + 5 ° C and + 30 ° C.
• Store cool and dry between + 5 ° C and + 25 ° C.
