Liquid admixture for concrete and mortar to increase the start and end setting time allows for the production of concrete and mortar in hot weather.
Ideal for long-distance transport, for mass production requiring lengthy implementation , or for placement by pumping.

Properties :

• Betoretard delays the setting of concrete proportionally to the dose used while improving mechanical characteristics.
• Betoretard improves plasticity and handling while reducing crazing.
• Betoretard allows the resurfacing of concrete made with slipforms.

Betoretard is intended for use in the following areas: concrete repairs, hot weather concreting, piles and diaphragm walls, long-distance concrete transport, mass concrete, road concrete, mortars, grouts.

Instructions for use:

1. Betoretard is ready to use and mixes with the mixing water.
2. Betoretard can be used with all cements meeting ASTM and CEN standards.
3. For any other binder, preliminary tests are necessary.
4. The delay depends on the type of cement, the temperature and the dosage of Betoretard.
5. In all cases, the amount of mixing water must be reduced by 10 to 15%.
