Paracryl Pro - Single-component plasto-elastic paint putty - DL Chemicals

One-component, plasto-elastic paintable putty with excellent processability.

For sealing joints with low to moderate movement (max. 12.5%).

Applications:

• Sealing joints with low to moderate movement (max. 12.5%), such as around door and window frames, stairs, baseboards, walls, ceilings, etc.
• Sealing and filling tears and cracks.
• Suitable for all porous surfaces (wood, stone, concrete, plaster, etc.), metal and ceramic tiles.
• For exterior applications where joints need to be repainted.

Instructions for use:

1. Preparation :
   • Do not apply in confined spaces. It is important to ventilate areas well during application and curing.
   • Surfaces must be solid, dry and free from dust and grease.
   • If necessary, degrease with Parasilico Cleaner , MEK, alcohol or ethanol.
   • The user must ensure that the product used is suitable for their use. If necessary, contact our technical department.
2. Primary:
   • As a primer you can apply a mixture of two parts water and one part putty
3. Laid :
   • Apply the product from the cartridge/pouch with a manual or pneumatic caulking gun.
   • The size and shape of the gasket are very important. Avoid thin gaskets.
   • Do not apply thermal, mechanical or chemical loads until completely cured.
4. Joint dimensions:
   • Joint widths allowed from 5 mm to 25 mm
   • Joints up to 10 mm wide: the joint depth must be equal to the joint width. Joints wider than 10 mm: the joint depth = (joint width/3) + 6 mm.
5. Smoothing:
   1. Smooth before skin formation with the Perfect Joint Tool smoothing paddle or with a putty knife dampened with water.
6. Cleaning:
   • Before curing: clean tools and surfaces with water and remove uncured residue.
   • After hardening, mechanically remove the hardened elements.
7. Repair :
   • With the same product.
8. Paint :
   • Can be painted after curing with most water-based and solvent-based paints. Curing time depends on joint dimensions.
   • Given the wide variety of paint types available, it is recommended to test the compatibility between the sealant and the paint beforehand.
   • Repainting too quickly can cause the paint to crack and/or reduce its matte finish. Cracks can also form in the paint because it is less flexible than the sealant.
