LD702 - Acrylic sealant for low movement joints - Illbruck

LD702 is an acrylic sealant for indoor and outdoor sheltered applications, for low-motion seals.

It is a single-component sealant based on acrylic resin in the aqueous phase that is transformed into a plasto-elastic seal by evaporation of the water contained in the product.

It benefits from the SNJF Façade label (plastic sealant F 7.5P). Odorless, UV and aging resistant, it can be painted after drying.

Advantage: 

• Label SNJF Façade 7.5 P according to NF EN ISO 11600.
• Easy smoothing, odorless, solvent-free.
• Good adhesion to the supports encountered in construction: glass, concrete, cellular concrete, bricks, plaster, plaster, plasterboard, aluminum, wood and rigid PVC...
• Good resistance to aging and UV.
• Can be painted after drying.

Preparation: 

• Preparation of media according to the specifications of NF DTU 44.1
• In the case of application with an air gun, the maximum pressure is 3 bar.
• All adhesion supports must be strong, dusted, clean and free of non-stick agents.
• The cleaning of non-absorbent supports must be carried out using a suitable cleaner.
• On painted or fragile supports, it is recommended to carry out tests beforehand.

Implementation: 

• Implementation of the sealant according to the specifications of NF DTU 44.1
• Set up a joint bottom adapted to the determined depth.
• The joint bottoms must be compatible with LD702 in accordance with DTU 44.1.
• Not suitable for seal bottoms containing oil, tar or bitumen, as well as materials based on natural rubber, chloroprene or EPDM.
• To obtain flawlessly looking joints, we recommend placing an adhesive tape on either side of the seal.
• Extrude the LD702 into the seal, taking care to fill it completely.
• Tighten and smooth the sealant using the AA310 smoothing spatula.
• This step can be facilitated by spraying the AA300 smoothing liquid on the spatula.
• In order to avoid tearing of the skin in formation, the adhesive tapes are to be removed immediately after smoothing.

Hygiene and safety precautions

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Cleaning: 

• LD702 still fresh can be removed with water.
• For a hardened sealant, only the use of mechanical means (e.g. razor blade) allows cleaning.

Conditioning: 

• Cartridge of 310 ml.
• Color: white.
