BS 300 Easy Repair Resin Kit - Akemi

Fluid 2-component repair resin , easy to apply , for grouting and sealing joints and cracks in mineral screeds indoors.

Area of use :

BS 300 EASY is used for jointing and sealing joints and cracks in mineral screeds.

Instructions for use:

1. Surface preparation: Remove dust, loose or crumbling parts, etc., before application. If necessary, widen cracks using a cutting disc to ensure good penetration of the reaction resin, and make cross-cuts approximately every 25 cm, inserting screed clips. Then, thoroughly vacuum the cracks again.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly before adding the hardener to obtain a homogeneous liquid without any solid deposits.
3. Add 25 g of red hardener to 975 g of resin (1 bottle), close the bottle with the nozzle and shake vigorously for about 1 minute until a homogeneous, slightly reddish colour mixture without streaks is obtained.
4. Cut the nozzle to the desired opening size and fill the crack/joint with material flush with the surface. Processing time approx. 9 to 10 minutes (20°C).
5. Due to the material's excellent fluidity, sagging may occur in the case of deeper cracks. For affected areas, it is possible to fill with a small amount of BS 300 EASY Repair Resin.
6. Smooth the surface and sprinkle with dry quartz sand
7. The surface is accessible after approximately 30 minutes (at 20°C) and can be filled after a minimum of 1 hour. After 48 hours (at 20°C), the surface is completely hardened.

Specific advice:

• For professional use only.
• Nitrile gloves must be removed immediately and discarded no later than 1 to 5 minutes after being contaminated by the product (depending on the degree of contamination).
• Do not use at temperatures below 15°C.
• The surface must be clean and dry.
• The uncured product can be removed with AKEMI Cleaner A or AKEMI Nitro Thinner .
• The hardened product can only be removed mechanically.
• Low temperatures prolong, high temperatures shorten the curing time
• Hardener concentrations above 4% decrease bond quality. Hardener concentrations below 2% and low temperatures (< 15°C) significantly delay curing.
• Fillings frequently exposed to moisture and sometimes to frost have limited resistance.
• Repair resin that is already gelled or thickened should not be used.
• For regular disposal, empty the container completely.
• Recycling in accordance with the requirements of European Decision 97/129 EC relating to Directive 94/62/EC on packaging.
