SikaFlex-292i is a thixotropic one-component polyurethane, of pasty consistency, which polymerizes under the action of humidity in the air to form a durable elastomer.

SikaFlex-292i has excellent adhesion properties and high mechanical performance.

SikaFlex-292i causes low flame spread in accordance with the standards imposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

SikaFlex-292i is manufactured according to ISO 9001 and 14001 quality assurance rules and the “Responsible Care” program.

Application domain :

The SikaFlex-292i is perfectly adapted to the realization of structural assemblies subjected in service to high dynamic stresses in marine construction.

It is used for the assembly of materials such as metals and in particular aluminum (anodized YC), primers and paints (two-component), ceramics as well as plastics: GRP (unsaturated polyester resin), ABS and perfectly adapted to the realization of structural assemblies subjected in service to high dynamic stresses (chainplates, fixings of fittings elements on the hull, etc.) intended to undergo strong mechanical (shocks, tearing) and climatic (bad weather, salt …).

It thus guarantees a high resistance fixing without degrading the support.

SikaFlex-292i should not be used to bond transparent plastics and glass.
