Swimming pool construction kit is a set with all the materials and supplies to build a fiberglass reinforced polyester swimming pool yourself.
Includes starter kit with tools.

Applications:

• As a construction system for the self-construction of a swimming pool with a glass fiber reinforced liquid swimming pool resin.
• This coating can be applied on concrete, screeds, cement and quick-build bricks.
• In addition to reinforcing the surface, this coating makes the assembly waterproof.

Treatment :

STEP 1: Surface preparation

Before starting construction of a polyester swimming pool, it is best to check the surface first. You should always have a stable surface like concrete or masonry.
The substrate must be dry and the concrete must have 28 days or more to be completely dry.
When building your polyester swimming pool, work as much as possible on dry days. This promotes hardening of the polyester and prevents discoloration.

STEP 2: Apply Primer and Bond Coat

After pouring the surface, apply the primer as a base coat, then apply an adhesion coat, such as G4 primer. You apply it with a brush or a roller.
After applying the primer, wait 1 to 4 hours before polyesterizing.
Use one of our fibrous pastes to round off sharp corners and edges. The surface is then laminated with a special polyester resin for the construction of a swimming pool.
It's important not to use too much resin at once or you'll have heat issues.
Then, mix everything well and do not forget to scrape the bottom and the edges. When your mixture is ready, you can paint the entire surface.

STEP 3: Application of glass veils and liquid polyester resin

The third step in building your polyester pool is the application of the glass sails.
Lay the glass sails on the support and saturate them immediately with the swimming pool resin. If successful, the white glass mat will become glassy and transparent.
You can start ventilation with a ventilation roller within 20 minutes, depending on the temperature.
The thing is, you get lower resin consumption if you process layers wet-on-wet. This should harden for about 24 hours.

STEP 4: Finishing your pool with a UV and chlorine resistant precoat and topcoat

To achieve an excellent polyester finish, sand the polyester cover with sandpaper after it dries. We recommend 60 grit for this.
When finishing, you naturally also make sure that everything is properly cleaned.
After sanding and cleaning, apply a coat of primer. To do this, mix the LT40 top coat with about 10% dye.
Then you add about 2% MEKP hardener. Do you find it difficult? Then order your pre-coat and topcoat in your desired color immediately from us.
Coatings are applied to the dust-free surface in layers with a sheepskin roller.
It is very important that the topcoat is not applied in direct sunlight.

As soon as the construction of your polyester pool is finished, wait about a week before filling it so that the coating can harden as much as possible.
Then you are ready to enjoy your new self-built pool!
