Sikasil IG-16 is a UV- resistant black sealant for insulating glazing .

Application areas

Sikasil IG-16 can be used as a UV inhibiting secondary joint sealant in the manufacture of insulating glazing.

Application

1. Sikasil SG-16 is applied by spray gun after preparation of the substrates.
2. The seals must be suitably sized, any subsequent modification being impossible.
3. The technical values of the adhesive and the adjacent construction materials, the exposure of the elements, their construction, their size as well as the external loads must be taken into account in the dimensioning calculations.
4. Joints thicker than 15 mm should be avoided.
