SikaFast-555 L05 is a two-component, flexible, fast- hardening , acrylic-based structural adhesive.
The consistency is pasty , which allows an easy and precise vertical and horizontal application.

It is suitable as a substitute for mechanical fixing and offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates such as metals , plastics , glass and wood.
This product is available with different open times to suit specific application requirements.

Application areas

SikaFast-555 L05 has been developed for fast bonding processes and can replace mechanical fasteners such as rivets, screws or welding.
It is suitable for high strength assemblies and has excellent adhesion to various substrates such as metals, plastics, glass, wood, etc.

This product is intended for experienced professional users only.
In order to be able to guarantee the adherence and the compatibility of the material, it is imperative to carry out tests with the original materials under the conditions of the moment.

Application

1. The application of SikaFast-555 L05 is done via a cartridge or a drum in a mixing ratio of 10: 1 by volume.
2. It should be noted that when applying large amounts of glue, heat is produced by an exothermic reaction.
3. To avoid an excessive increase in temperature, the thickness of the glue is limited to 3 mm, but must be at least 0.5 mm.
4. The optimum temperature for the bonding process is between 15°C and 25°C.
   The allowed temperature range for the substrate and the glue is between 5°C and 40°C.
5. The influence of reactivity due to temperature changes must be taken into account.
6. After the open time has expired, the parts to be joined must not be moved.
7. Once the bonding time has been reached, the parts to be joined can be further processed, provided that no additional load acts on the bond.
8. SikaFast-555 L05 can be applied using a cartridge gun or a suitable pumping system.
