SikaFast-2590 - Two-component cyanoacrylate adhesive - Sika

SikaFast-2590 is a universal , two-component, fast- curing , gap-filling " Super Glue " based on ethyl cyanoacrylate technology.

It offers a long open time combined with rapid hardening.
Due to its viscosity, SikaFast-2590 is ideal for vertical and overhead applications.

Application areas

• SikaFast-2590 is designed for quick repairs or bonding a wide variety of materials, even with irregular surfaces.
• Due to its good gap filling properties, SikaFast-2590 can be used for rebuilding broken parts as well as filling cracks.
• Alternatively, it can be used to reinforce weak parts or be used as a chemical anchor, for example small screws and hooks.
• This product is only suitable for experienced professional users.
  Testing with actual substrates and conditions should be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

Application

1. SikaFast-2590 is applied with a mixing ratio of 4:1 by volume through a static mixer.
2. Consider that if applied in large masses, heat is generated by the exothermic reaction.
3. The mixed glue has an open time of approx. 4 minutes and achieves handling strength in approx. 2-4 minutes after assembly on thin film applications.
4. The optimum temperature for the bonding process is between 15°C and 25°C.
5. The influence of reactivity by temperature changes must be respected.
6. After the open time has elapsed, the glued parts should no longer be moved against each other.
7. When the manipulation time is reached, the parts can be moved if no additional stress is distributed on the bond line.
