SikaCor EG 5 - Epoxy-iron micaceous + polyurethane resin - Sika

SikaCor EG-system is a combination of a primary, an intermediate layer of epoxy and a finish made from resins epoxy-iron micaceous or based resins, Polyurethanes with excellent resistance to chalking and excellent stability of colors.

SikaCor EG-system is admitted and controlled according to the standard German TL/TP-KOR-Stahlbauten, Blatt 87.
For the collection of galvanized steel, in line with the GSA-Arbeitsblatt B 1 approval is available on request.
In thickness of about 20 μm, SikaCor Zinc R and SikaCor EG Phosphat can be applied as paint weldable. A report from the Lehr-und Versuchsanstalt (Duisburg) is available on request.

Areas of application:

Robust corrosion protection of steel, galvanized steel and aluminum with durable decorative finish. Mainly used for bridges, pipes, tanks, industrial and port facilities stations water treatment, but also for machines in aggressive atmospheres, in areas with water, sea water and wastewater. Particularly suitable for application in workshops and as a coating of transport.

Resistance:

Chemical resistance: SikaCor EG-system resists climate influences, water, wastewater, in sea water, to smoke, to ice control salt, vapors of acids and bases, oils, fat and a temporary exposure to solvents and fuels.

Temperature: According to the primary applied.

SikaCor EG Phosphat: dry heat up to + 100 ° C, temporarily up to + 150 ° C.

SikaCor Zinc R: dry heat up to + 150 ° C, temporarily up to + 180 ° C; moist heat up to + 50 ° C.

Solicitation:

The final hardening is 1 to 2 weeks depending on the thickness and temperature. Tests on the hardened coating can be made only after the queue time before mentioned collection.
