SPS Tape - Self-adhesive mounting tape - Soudal

SPS Tape is a strong double-sided adhesive tape for the initial fixing of facade panels.

Features :

• Good adhesion to metals and facade panels
• Good slip resistance

Applications:

• Allows the initial fixing of the facade panels during the hardening of the mastic-adhesive.
• Ensures optimum glue thickness.

Manual :

1. Treat the vertical metal profiles of the supporting structure with SPS Activator to clean, degrease and prepare the bonding surface.
2. After the SPS Activator has dried, apply the SPS Tape over the entire length.
3. Press the tape firmly.
4. Consider the placement of the panels and where the sealant will be applied.
5. Apply an 8x10 mm bead of Soudabond 670 SPS to the vertical supporting structure using the triangular cannula.
6. Leave approximately 10 mm of space between the SPS Tape and the bead of mastic adhesive to prevent the glue from getting between the panel and the tape when the panel is positioned.
7. Then remove the protective film from the SPS Tape.
8. Position the panel and press firmly.
9. Once the panel is pressed against the SPS Tape, repositioning is impossible.
