SikaTop-111 - Waterproof and wear-resistant self-leveling mortar - Sika

High-performance pre-dosed hydraulic mortar for new construction and repair work in soil , and for tanking.

Pre-dosed micro-mortar comprising:

• component A (resin emulsion)
• component B (cement and special fillers)

After mixing, a grey-coloured mortar is obtained.

Scope of application

SikaTop-111 is used as a waterproofing coating to seal concrete foundation slabs in structures such as:

• Underground premises (tanking).
• Reservoirs, basins, …
• Ice rinks.
• Cold storage rooms.

Application

1. The surface must be clean, sound and free of loose particles.
   In particular, it must be free from traces of oil, grease, laitance, curing product, old coatings and any substance likely to impair the adhesion of the mortar.
2. The day before implementation, moisten the surface until it is completely saturated.
3. It will be moistened again at the time of application.
4. However, ensure that it is not dripping wet and free of any film or puddle of water on the surface.
5. Pour all of component A (resin emulsion) into a clean container with a wide opening (bucket, can with a full opening).
6. Gradually add all of component B (powder) while mixing with an electric or pneumatic mixer at low rotation speed (approximately 300 rpm) for 2 to 3 minutes until a thixotropic and homogeneous mortar of uniform color is obtained.
7. Only waste the number of kits needed for immediate application.
8. Spread the mortar on the ground and spread it with the squeegee set to the desired thickness.

Actual consumption depends on irregularities in the medium:
~ 2.2 kg/m² and mm thickness

   Absolutely, it is freeze/thaw resistant and perfectly suited for outdoor applications such as terraces or balconies.
3. What thickness can be applied?
   The thickness depends on the application, but it is generally used in thin to medium layers. Consult the technical data sheet for precise values.
4. Can tiles or other coverings be laid on top of it?
   Yes, after complete drying, SikaTop-111 can be covered with: resin tiles, floor paint, synthetic coatings
5. Is it suitable for industrial use?
   It is suitable for light industrial areas or areas with moderate traffic. For heavy traffic, a specific product may be recommended.
6. What is the drying time?
   The setting time is rapid. The surface is generally usable after 24 hours, depending on conditions (temperature, humidity, thickness).
7. Can it be applied to an existing floor?
   Yes, provided that the surface is: sound, clean, non-friable, properly prepared (sanding, cleaning, primer if necessary).
