Black edge profile - Aesthetic finish for flat roofs - Aquaplan

These profiles are made from a high quality polyester to which fiberglass is added. This makes our Black Edge Profiles very robust and impact resistant.

They are insensitive to aging and atmospheric influences. Even when sawn, the profiles are not likely to rust or oxidize.

Application :

Can be used on flat roofs with bitumen roof membranes or EPDM coatings.

Useful information:

• The edge profiles are mass colored, which makes scratches virtually invisible.
• The profiles are made of a high quality polyester resin reinforced with 30% fiberglass.
• Separate corner pieces are not necessary; you can easily make angles by cutting the miter profiles.
• There are two ways to install edge profiles. It all depends on the roofing material you use.

How to use on bitumen roofing membranes?

1. Place the edge profiles on the underlayment of your roof.
2. Fix our SCREWS FOR BLACK EDGE PROFILES 5 cm from the end of an edge profile, then attach a new screw every 25 cm.
3. Then take a straight connector piece and insert it into the vertical section of the next edge profile.
4. Lay this next edge profile 2 mm from the previous one.
5. Finally, place the top layer of your roof covering on the edge profile. To ensure a watertight finish, you can seal the edge profiles under the upper lip using our REPAIR PUTTY.

How to use with EPDM?

1. Place the edge profiles on the EPDM layer of your roof.
2. Fix our SCREWS FOR BLACK EDGE PROFILES 5 cm from the end of an edge profile, then attach a new screw every 25 cm.
3. These screws feature an EPDM washer, so additional sealing is not required.
4. Then take a straight connector piece and insert it into the vertical section of the next edge profile.
5. Lay this next edge profile 2 mm from the previous one.
6. To create an angle, you can easily miter two edge profiles.
7. Use a corner fitting to ensure a perfect fit.
