Sika MonoTop-111 AntiCorrosion - Corrosion Protection - Sika

Sika MonoTop-111 AntiCorrosion is a one-component, cementitious, polymer-modified grout containing silica fume, used as anti-corrosion protection for steels in reinforced concrete and as an adhesion bridge.

Features :

• Corrosion protection of rebars during concrete repair.

Application

Corrosion protection of steels for concrete:

1. Apply, using a brush with semi-hard bristles, a first coat of approximately 1 mm thickness on the previously cleaned steels.
2. When the first coat is dry to the touch, i.e. after about 4 to 5 hours at +20°C, apply a second coat in a thickness of about 1 mm.

Adhesion bridge:

1. Apply with a brush or roller on the prepared surface (pre-moistened).
2. In order to obtain a good adherence, press firmly on Sika MonoTop-111 AntiCorrosion and rub well in order to fill all the inequalities.
3. The repair mortar must then be applied “fresh on fresh” to the bonding bridge.

Consumption

Anti-corrosion protection of steels in concrete:
As a general rule: ~ 1.7 kg of powder/m2 and per coat of 1 mm thickness (apply minimum 2 coats in total)

Adhesion bridge:
The consumption depends on the roughness of the support and the thickness applied.
As a general rule: ~ 1.5 - 2.0 kg powder/m2/mm thickness.
Thickness 1.2 - 1.7mm.

Yield

2 kg of powder gives approximately 1.2 liters of mortar.
