Sikagard-705 L is a single component, low viscosity, solvent free, reactive silane based impregnation containing ~99% active substances for concrete and cement surfaces.
Sikagard-705 L complies with the highest requirements of standard EN 1504-2 hydrophobation products (penetration class II & resistance to frost and de-icing salts).

Application areas

For the waterproofing (hydrophobation) of absorbent substrates such as concrete in construction and civil engineering subjected to strong stresses from freeze-thaw cycles, chlorides in the maritime environment, etc.

• Suitable for ingress protection (Principle 1, method 1.1 of EN 1504-9).
• Suitable for humidity control (Principle 2, method 2.1 of EN1504-9).
• Suitable for increasing resistance capacity (Principle 8, method 8.1 of EN 1504-9).

Application

1. Sikagard-705 L is applied with a low pressure airless spray gun, brush or roller, in one pass and working from top to bottom, being careful not to have runs.
2. Apply fresh on fresh. Avoid stagnation on horizontal surfaces.
3. The cleaning of the support must be carried out by appropriate cleaning means or by light sanding, light steam cleaning, etc.
4. The best results are obtained on dry, highly absorbent substrates.
5. The substrate must be dry and free of damp areas.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the porosity of the support and the depth of penetration desired: ~ 150 g/m² per coat.
