Sikafloor-161 is a 2-component, low viscosity, multifunctional, epoxy resin that can be used as a primer , leveling coat , intermediate coat and screed.

Application areas

• Intermediate layer below Sikafloor-263 SL N and Sikafloor-264 N

Application

1. First separately mix Part A (resin) with an electric mixer with a single mixing rod at low speed (300 - 400 rpm).
2. Then add Part B (hardener) to Part A and continuously mix Parts A + B for 3.0 minutes, until a uniform mixture is obtained.
3. After mixing components A and B, add the quartz sand and -if necessary- the Stellmittel T, and mix again for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained using a mixer or an electric mixer ( > 700 W) double mixing rod or other suitable equipment (A concrete mixer cannot be used).
4. To ensure proper mixing, pour the mixed product into a clean container and re-mix briefly to obtain a consistent mixture.
5. Avoid mixing too long and too fast to minimize air entrapment.
6. During the final mixing phase, scrape along the sides and bottom of the container at least once with a flat or plaster trowel to ensure thorough mixing.
7. Only mix complete kits.
8. Mixing time for A + B + quartz sand = 5.0 minutes.
