Sika Primer-209 D is a black solvent-based primer , which reacts to humidity and forms a thin layer.
This layer serves as a bridge between the substrate and the glue.

Sika Primer-209 D is specially formulated for the surface treatment before the application of single-component polyurethane Sika.
This primer can provide excellent adhesion to certain plastic materials, without prior activation.

Application areas

• Sika Primer-209 D is suitable for a large number of plastic materials and paints, such as epoxy resins, GVK, ABS, PMMA, PC, PS and acrylic paints, melamine/alkyd and powder lacquers.
  Due to the diversity of synthetic materials it is always necessary to carry out tests on the original substrates by observing the local production conditions.

  Always pre-test on original substrates and under local conditions to ensure adhesion and compatibility of adhesive and substrate.

Application

1. Shake the bottle of Sika Primer-209 D until you hear the mixing ball click freely in the bottle.
2. Then continue shaking for one minute and apply a thin covering layer with a brush, marker or foam applicator.
3. The ideal product and surface temperature is between 15°C and 25°C.
4. Apply a single coat of Sika Primer-209 D.
5. Take care that this layer is well covered.
6. Carefully close the bottle immediately after each use.
