FM355 - Low expansion PU foam - Illbruck

Single-component polyurethane foam curing by absorbing moisture from the air and / or support.

Does not contribute to the greenhouse effect and is not harmful to the ozone layer.

FM355 foam does not contain CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs.

Scope:

A unique PU foam that has been specially designed for maximum dimensional stability, minimal shrinkage as well as minimal post-expansion.

This PU foam is used throughout the year, even down to -10°C.

Advantage:

  • 50% more yield.
  • Specially designed for the perimeter of windows and sashes.
  • Fill the joint with the right dose and post-expansion stops almost immediately.
  • Use down to -10°C.
  • Very good insulating characteristics (heat and noise).
  • Excellent grip on most substrates.
  • Also available in our unique version of Rebus locker system.

Preparation:

  • Excellent adhesion on most substrates such as concrete, masonry, stone, plastering, wood, fiber cement and metal, but also on synthetic materials such as polystyrene, polyurethane foam, polyester and rigid PVC.
  • The supports must be slightly damp, sufficiently load-bearing and degreased and dusted.
  • If necessary, moisten the (porous) substrates beforehand, e.g. with a spray bottle.
  • Deformable building elements must be sufficiently fixed beforehand, e.g. insulation boards.

Implementation:

  • Before each use, shake the aerosol strongly for at least 20 seconds.
  • Remove the protective seal and screw the aerosol onto the spray gun or mount the AA210 spray nozzle.
  • When applying to the spray gun, the foam dosage can be adjusted using the trigger of the applicator gun and the dosing screw.
  • Depending on the size of the joint, apply FM330 foam from bottom to top and zigzag.
  • For joints more than 30 mm wide and 70 mm deep, apply the foam in several layers, respecting intervals of pauses. Lightly moisten the surface before applying each new coat.
  • Fill the seal to a maximum of 90%.
  • The applicator gun can remain on the aerosol for up to 4 weeks, provided it is kept in an upright position. For optimal results, we recommend using the PUR illbruck Pistolet Pro AA250 or Pistolet Ultra AA270.

Health and safety precautions:

  • During application, observe the general rules of hygiene at work.
  • Wear gloves and safety glasses.
  • Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically.
  • For more information, refer to the label on the packaging and/or the safety data sheet.

Cleaning:

  • Clean the gun properly after use, using AA290 Multi-purpose Cleaner.
  • Fresh foam can be removed (immediately) using AA290 Multi-Purpose Cleaner, AA292 Cleaning Wipes or Natufix AA295 Cleaner.
  • Be careful not to damage the support. Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically.
  • Hardened polyurethane foam is chemically inert and, in this sense, it is not harmful to humans and the environment.

Conditioning:

  • Aerosol of 880 ml.
  • Color: Light green.
