Qualities

P.T.B.-ISO-M is a ready-for-use product. It is ideal for floor and roof insulation (on concrete), and for filling in of wall chases, pipes and insulation coating.

Very easy processing

P.T.B.-ISO-M is extremely simple and easy to apply. It is readied just by adding water. Filling, smoothing out, and plastering on does not require previous or professional know-how.

One-piece insulation

With P.T.B.-ISO-M one can fill in and insulate pipes in one single operation. It lends itself to being applied IN ONE PIECE, which results in a perfect, seamless, and stable insulation layer. It replaces the so-called floating floor pavements and the levelling floor pavements.

Resistance

P.T.B.-ISO-M possesses a much higher compressive and bending resistance than most other insulating materials.

Non inflammable

Since every grain is wrapped in a cement coating, P.T.B.-ISO-M is noninflammable and does not propagate fire.

Application
Floor insulation

Ideal as insulation and filler of chases in one single product. A binder course consisting of cement dissolved in a COMPAKTUNA®(PRO)/water solution at a 1 to 2 ratio strongly increases the adhesion. Apply P.T.B.-ISOM to a thickness of minimum 3 cm and spread out evenly with a trowel or a smoothing board. Let dry completely before accessing the layer.

Ceiling insulation (on concrete)

The same method of application as for floor insulation. Because of its lightweight manipulation, P.T.B.-ISO-M is an ideal insulation for ceilings since it lends itself for ready application between the ceiling joists. In this way, it is possible to get a much stronger insulation layer than with other insulating products. Using P.T.B.-EGALISER-EN, applied in 2 to 3 thin layers, one can readily achieve a dust-free, more or less steady floor layering.

Filling in chases Binder course

Mix a solution of 1 part COMPAKTUNA®(PRO) and 2 parts water in the cement. Apply this slurry in a layer of 1 to 2 mm. Mix P.T.B.-ISOM with ± 7L of water and fill in the chases with a trowel.

Insulating wall plastering

A binder course consisting of cement mixed with 1 part COMPAKTUNA® and 2 parts water is required. This mixture is applied with a brush to a thickness of 1-2 mm. Mix P.T.B.-ISO-M with ± 7L of water and apply with a trowel to the still damp binder course. To render the surface dust-free, brushing with POLYCOLORIT® is recommended.
