Friolite - Antifreeze accelerator plasticizer - Sika

The Friolite is a antifreeze in powder which is used for protect the concrete up to a temperature of - 10ºC.

Areas of application

Under the most severe conditions of concreting for years, the Friolite is working with all cements and does not attack the frames.
It is suitable for all types of concrete: ordinary concretes, armed concrete, prestressed concrete, heated floors.
The Friolite should not be used for coatings, but only in the concrete.
For coatings we recommend to use in cold weather, but with a support temperature higher than 5ºC of the Sikavit at the rate of 1 litre for 50 kg of Portland cement.

Features / benefits

The Friolite brings together in a single product the advantages of the following three components:

• antifreeze that promotes decision-making and hardening of concrete at low temperature.
• a plasticizer that reduces the mixing water and makes concrete more manageable.
• an air coach which gives concrete an airy structure to absorb the increase in volume resulting from the transformation of water to ice.

Packaging

• Dose of 700 gr.

Application

Pour the required amount directly into the mixer.

Consumption

• The Friolite is dosed at 2% of the weight of the cement, is a dose of 1 kg per bag of cement.
