WoodGuard AntiGraffiti - Water and oil repellent anti-graffiti for wood - Guard Industrie

WoodGuard AntiGraffiti is a permanent, water-repellent , oil-repellent and anti-stain anti-graffiti for raw or renovated wood.
It is a new generation product for the protection of raw or renovated wooden cladding.

A two-component product, WoodGuard AntiGraffiti penetrates all wood fibers to protect it sustainably against graffiti, tags of all kinds (paints, markers, etc.), humidity , grease, and stains.
It withstands dozens of cleanings and therefore does not need to be re-applied after removing graffiti.

Implementation

Preparation of the support

1. New wood: apply the product to clean, dust-free, healthy and dry wood.
2. Gray or oily wood: clean with WoodGuard Conditioner, rinse thoroughly, dust and dry the wood.
3. Damaged wood: sand to expose it, then dust and dry the wood.
4. Always prepare the wood according to the DTU in force.
5. Ensure that the support has all the guarantees of good durability.

Application

1. Do not apply in rainy weather or in very high heat.
   Ideal air and support temperature 5°C to 30°C.
2. Carry out a preliminary test in condition on a small, inconspicuous surface and leave to dry for 24 hours, particularly on oily wood and exotic wood. Check adhesion.
3. Apply in the direction of the wood fibers.
4. Shake product A (base) well before use.
5. Slowly add part B (hardener) to part A (base) of WoodGuard AntiGraffiti while stirring.
   Stir at moderate speed using an electric mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (5 to 15 minutes depending on the quantity).
6. Allow the mixture to degas for 15 to 30 minutes in the open air then stir again for 1 minute before use.
7. The mixture thus prepared can be used for 6 hours at an ambient temperature below 25°C.
   If the temperature is higher, allow a shorter implementation time, around 4 hours.
   Do not use the mixture if the time limit has passed.

Application of the 1st pass:

1. Apply WoodGuard AntiGraffiti diluted with 5 to 10% water maximum.
2. Apply without overloading to avoid creating a thick, non-breathable film.
3. Apply if possible to all visible surfaces.
4. Leave to dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour at 20°C.
   The surface must be dry and not sticky before applying the 2nd coat.

Application of the 2nd pass:

1. In the case of bristling wood fibers to obtain a smooth surface, it is possible to sand the surface.
2. Apply the second coat without overdoing using WoodGuard AntiGraffiti undiluted.
3. On very absorbent wood such as aged wood, a third coat may be necessary.
   Allow to dry and follow the same procedure as the second coat.
4. Protect from rain for 24 hours and from greasy dirt for 48 hours.
5. Optimal effectiveness obtained after 5 to 7 days.

Application tools

For better control and perfect control of the result, apply WoodGuard AntiGraffiti preferably using an air-assisted sprayer.
Application by brush is also possible.

Consumption

130 to 265 g/m² for 2 coats.
