WoodGuard Color Professional is a new generation product for the protection and decoration of wood, crude or renovated. WoodGuard Color professional protects the wood against water penetration, fats and dirt and UV. WoodGuard Color professional the aging of the wood, facilitates maintenance and allows keep new and own much longer. WoodGuard Color Professional is a semi-transparent stains which beautifies the wood giving them a decorative color in shade. WoodGuard Color Professional is an impregnation product that does not Flake, does not blister and non-yellowing. It colors without altering the structure or appearance of wood (veining, fiber...).

Use

WoodGuard Color professional applies in Interior and in outside on all wood in the rough you want to protect and colour: pine, spruce, douglas, including treaties in an autoclave. It is ideal for cladding, fences, shutters, panelling, joinery, garden furniture and all timber, excluding soil supports.

Colors available

17 standard colours. The final hue depends on the initial colour of support. WoodGuard Color professional can also be tailor-made for specific projects in the 1950 NCS chart colours.
Available in semi-gloss finish or mate.

Preparing media

• New wood: Apply the product on a clean, dusted, healthy and dry wood.
• Wood gray or bold: Clean with WoodGuard conditioner, rinse, dust and dry wood.
• Wood abyss: sand to bare back and then dust off and dry the wood.
• For a better rendering, shell with fine grain (< 120) before application and suck all sanding residue using a powerful vacuum for good move the product, under pain of subsequent coat. A large and thorough dusting must be given prior to application of the product.
• Always prepare the wood according to the DTU in force.
• Make sure that the media has all the guarantees of a good durability.
• The WoodGuard Color products do not have the ability to prevent the wood from splitting if subjected to excessive variations in humidity. Therefore, it is advisable to apply our products when the wood has reached a low hygroscopic balance. This State can be measured easily as it corresponds to the time the width of the wood is as low as possible, often inferior to the original width.

Enforcement tools

For better control and a perfect mastery of the rendering, apply WoodGuard Color professional preferentially using a sprayer assisted air or brush. Do not use Airless system.

Application

• Shake the bottle well before use. Use an electric agitator if necessary for good mix pigments with the rest of the product.
• Use the product in its purest state.
• Always carry out a preliminary test in condition on a small inconspicuous area and let dry 24 hours in particular on fats and wood exotic. Check the grip.
• Apply in the direction of fibres of wood and down upwards and if possible all the visible faces.
• Soak up the support in 2 layers without overload. Minimum yield per layer: 80 g / m2.
• Between each layer drying time: 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on temperature.
• Perform a ginning between layers to improve rendering.
• Protect from the rain for 24 hours and greasy stains during at least 48 h.
• Optimal efficiency obtained after 5 to 7 days.

Consumption

The consumption depends on the porosity of the wood. The values below are given for guidance:
170-180 g/m2 for two layers
