  • Water repellent.
  • Low shrinkage.
  • Abrasion resistant.
  • Frost resistant.
  • Smooth finish achievable.
  • Nice visual appearance.
  • Strong adhesion to tile sides.

Application areas

Grouting the following types of tiles:

  • Earthenware tiles.
  • Marble and other natural stones not susceptible to discoloration.
  • Stoneware tiles with a water absorption capacity > 3%.

Grouting for the following applications:

  • Balconies.
  • Bathrooms.
  • Heated floors (water and electric systems).
  • Residential environments.
  • Terraces.
  • Damp rooms.

Application

  1. Apply SikaCeram-660 Fine & Flex using a spatula, squeegee or joint trowel/trowel.
  2. Completely fill the joints and compact the jointing mortar evenly.
If necessary, finish the mortar using a special joint finishing tool, while the mortar is still wet.
  3. Using the same joint trowel/trowel, remove excess mortar from the tile surfaces by moving the tool diagonally across the joints.
  4. When the mortar is dry to the touch, (depending on the absorption capacity of the tile).
  5. Use a damp sponge or a sponge coated trowel to clean the tile surfaces.
  6. Regularly clean the sponge with clean water.
  7. When the mortar has sufficiently hardened in the joint (fingernail test).
  8. Polish tile surfaces by wiping with a dry, soft, clean cloth.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the size of the tiles, the width and depth of the joints.

Usage guide: g/m²

Tiles in cm (Length x width x thickness) 2 mm joint width 4 mm joint width 6 mm joint width

30x60x1 150 295 440
60x60x1.2 120 240 355

These figures are theoretical and do not take into account any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, level variations, waste/loss or any other variation.
Apply product to a test area to calculate exact consumption based on specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.

Consumption can also be calculated using the following formula:

Consumption (g/m²) = A × B × [(C + D+A)/((C+A) × (D+A))] × 14.92

A = joint width | B = tile thickness | C = tile length | D = tile width

Conditioning

  • 5 kg bag.
