Akepox 1005 - Extra fluid resin - Akemi

Resin with 2 extra fluid components is recommended to reinforce cracks and larger holes in the surface of the stone , food approved (approved by a German external research center).

Penetrates deep into fine cracks.
Fills the pores and at the same time improves the surface of the stone.

Use :

1. The plates to be treated must be pre-calibrated according to their nominal thickness, clean and dry.
2. The penetration capacity of the product is considerably increased if the surfaces are preheated (60 – 70°C).
3. Mix 4 parts component A with 1 part component B (by weight, e.g. 100 g and 25 g) or 7 parts component A with 2 parts component B (by volume, e.g. 175 ml and 50 ml) , until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
   The use of a mixer dispenser for AKEPOX facilitates the treatment of larger quantities.
4. The product can be colored using AKEPOX dyes (maximum incorporation: 5%).
5. The mixture remains malleable for 20 to 30 minutes (20°C) and must be applied with a fine notched trowel over the entire surface.
   Repeat the operation several times on larger cracks or on very absorbent areas.
   Before starting the treatment close continuous cracks on the back.
6. After 24 hours at room temperature or 3 hours at 60°C, the plates having been heated beforehand, and after cooling, the surfaces can be sanded and polished.
7. The contact force of the sanding and polishing segments should be a maximum of 1 to 1.5 bar.
8. Working tools can be cleaned with AKEMI Universal Thinner.
9. Heat accelerates and cold slows hardening.
10. For regular disposal completely empty the container.
