Normflex - Flexible tile adhesive - PTB Compaktuna

Normflex is a dry composition which gives an adhesive with high flexibility , ready for use by the simple addition of water.

Features :

• Extraordinary adhesion that far exceeds that of traditional adhesive cements.
• An elasticity that traditional adhesive cements do not have.
  This also allows NORMFLEX to be used for demanding applications.
• Allows the bonding of the following materials, both indoors and outdoors: earthenware, ceramics, mosaics, etc., on a support such as concrete, masonry, surfaces cemented, aerated concrete, cement coating and plaster.

Manual :

1. The application will always be carried out on a clean, healthy surface, free of dust and traces of oil.
2. The panels serving as support must always be securely fixed before starting to place the tiles.
3. NORMFLEX should be mixed with approximately 26% water, i.e. ±6.5 L of water on 25 kg of product.
4. After careful mixing, the glue thus obtained must rest for 15 minutes.
5. Then the glue must be mixed intensively again.
   The mortar is now ready for use.
6. The support is first covered with a thin layer of mortar using a trowel or a notched spatula.
   This layer must be well packed.
7. Immediately afterwards a second coat is applied which is divided into regular grooves using a notched spatula.
8. Then the slabs are laid with a small rotating movement and firmly packed.
   The open time of the applied layer depends on the working conditions and the support.
9. The maximum layer thickness is 4 mm.
   Grouting is only carried out when the glue is sufficiently resistant (wait at least 24 hours, depending on the temperature and atmospheric humidity).
