FLEXcement Rapid - Flexible tile adhesive - PTB Compaktuna

FLEXcement Rapid is a dry composition which gives an adhesive with great “ flexibility ”, ready for use by the simple addition of water.

Features :

• Extraordinary adhesion that far exceeds that of traditional adhesive cements.
• Remarkable elasticity that traditional adhesive cements do not have.
  FLEXcement Rapid gives better resistance against transverse tensions.
  Thus, FLEXcement can economically replace pasty glues for gluing on chipboards for example.
• A set of qualities that provides a solution in difficult cases.
  FLEXcement RAPID provides, for example, a solution in the many applications of bonding tiles to a tile support (interior only).
• A quick-setting glue, which allows it to be opened and grouted after 3 hours.

Manual :

1. The application will always be carried out on a clean, healthy surface, free of dust and traces of oil.
   Supports with high absorption are pre-impregnated with a solution of COMPAKTUNA (PRO) /water (1/4).
2. The panels serving as support must always be securely fixed before starting to place the tiles.
   FLEXcement RAPID should be mixed with approximately 21% water, i.e. ±5.25 L of water on 25 kg of product.
3. After careful mixing, he lets the glue thus obtained rest for 5 to 15 minutes.
4. Then the glue must be mixed intensively again.
   The glue is now ready to use.
5. The support is first covered with a thin layer of glue using a trowel or a notched spatula.
   This layer must be well packed.
6. Immediately afterwards a second layer is applied which is divided into regular grooves using a notched spatula (notched spatula 4 to 10 mm).
7. Then the slabs are laid with a small rotating movement and firmly packed.
   The open time of the applied layer depends on the working conditions and the support.
8. Grouting ( HY JOINT or LARGE SP JOINT ) is only carried out when the glue is sufficiently resistant (wait at least 3 hours, depending on the temperature and atmospheric humidity).
   Commissioning possible after 24 hours.
