Sika Igasol-101 - Bituminous 1-component emulsion - Sika

Sika Igasol-101 is a 1-component flexible coating , solvent-free, based on a polymer-modified bituminous emulsion.

Application areas

• Protective coating for parts of a construction that are in contact with the earth, such as concrete foundations, pillars and retaining walls
• Primer for bituminous coatings on concrete, mortar and brick surfaces (Sika Igasol-101 diluted with water)

Application

1. The support must be uniform and dry, and free of dust, oil, grease and friable or poorly adhering parts.
   Surface irregularities such as holes, voids, blisters and gravel pits should be repaired using suitable Sika repair mortars.
2. Repair damaged bituminous surfaces with Sika BlackSeal-301.
3. Clean concrete surfaces with clean water.
4. Prepare surfaces with appropriate methods such as steam cleaning, high pressure water cleaning, etc. in order to obtain a suitable surface quality.
5. Sika Igasol-101 can be applied by brush or roller as well as in airless spraying.

Consumption

• As a primer (diluted with water 1:2): ~ 0.15 kg/m²
• As a protective coating: ~ 0.30 kg/m² per layer
