SikaHyflex-402 Connection is an elastic , one-component, moisture-curing sealant used to seal many types of joint configurations.

It does not need a primer and has good adhesion to most building materials.
SikaHyflex-402 Connection provides a tight seal with good mechanical properties, and remains elastic over a wide temperature range and can be painted.

Application

1. The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, and be free from all kinds of contamination such as dirt, oil, grease, laitance, old sealants and bad or non-adherent coatings which can negatively influence the adhesion of the sealant.
2. The substrate must be strong enough to withstand the stresses caused by the sealant during the movement of the joint. D
3. Removal techniques such as wire brushing, grinding, sandblasting or other suitable mechanical tools may be used.
4. Before applying any activator, primer or sealant, all dust and loose, friable material must be completely removed from all surfaces.
5. Where joints have been ground, after grinding all suspended materials should be rinsed off and the joint surfaces allowed to dry.
6. SikaHyflex-402 Connection adheres without primers and/or activators.
