Sika Repair EP - Thixotropic Repair Mortar - Sika

Sika Repair-EP is a 2-component thixotropic repair mortar consisting of epoxy resins and selected quartz fillers.

Application areas

Repair mortar allowing a large number of applications:

• Repair mortar for concrete in floor, vertical and ceiling situations
• Waterproof mortar for tanks and retention basins
• Filling and sealing stable cracks
• Rounded skirting boards with floor/wall connection for the pharmaceutical and food industry

Application

1. Pour all of the hardener (component B in black) into the binder (component A).
2. Mix component A and component B for at least 3 minutes using an electric mixer at low speed (< 400 rpm) until a smooth and homogeneous mixture with a uniform gray color is obtained.
3. Only mix an amount of Sika Repair-EP that can be used within the practical duration of use of the product.
4. First apply Sika Primer EP or Sikafloor-161 (0.35 kg/m²) to the prepared concrete as an adhesion bridge.
   Apply the Sika Repair-EP mortar with a trowel on the still wet adhesion bridge (the Sikafloor-16 cannot be dry).
5. On ceilings, apply in a layer of 10 mm maximum.
   After curing, the next layer can be applied.
6. Can be used on vertical surfaces in layers of maximum 25 mm without formwork.
7. Minimum layer thickness: 1.5 mm.
8. For large thicknesses or sharp angles, we recommend the use of a formwork.
