SikaFloor-81 EpoCem - Self-leveling epoxy cement mortar - 1.5 to 3 mm - Sika

Sikafloor-81 EpoCem is a 3-component fine-textured mortar , cement -bound and improved by the addition of epoxy resin , used as a self-leveling poured coating in thin thicknesses of 1.5 to 3 mm.

Features

Application areas

As a temporary waterproof barrier (min. 2 mm thick) under coatings based on synthetic resins, on substrates with a high moisture content and on fresh concrete.

Application

1. Before mixing, briefly stir component A (white liquid) until homogeneous.
2. Then pour it into the container containing component B.
3. Shake well for at least 30 seconds.
4. If the product is packaged in another packaging, stir and homogenize the contents briefly.
5. Pour the mixed binder (A+B) into a suitable container (approx. 30 l) and add component C, stirring constantly using an electric mixer.
6. Mix intensely for 3 minutes until obtaining a homogeneous mixture without lumps.
7. Only mix complete A+B+C packs.
8. Do not split them and do not add water.
9. If adding fillers, incorporate these after adding component C.
10. Mix again carefully for 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Aspect

• Component A: resin: white liquid
• Component B: hardener: yellow to transparent liquid
• Component C: filler: gray powder
• Mixture (A+B+C): light gray
• Hardened mortar: matte

Consumption

Primary :

Sikafloor-155 WN (comp A+B), diluted with 10% water, ~ 0.3 - 0.5 kg/m², depending on the quality of the substrate, when repairing monolithic or precast concrete, or without broadcast, or when Sikafloor-81 EpoCem is to be covered by itself.

Self-leveling mortar:

Sikafloor-81 EpoCem ~ 2.25 kg/m²/mm.
~ 4.5 kg/m² for a 2 mm thick layer (= minimum for a temporary waterproof barrier).

Suitable mix:

Sikafloor-81 EpoCem ~ 2.4 kg/m²/mm.

All values are theoretical and do not take into account higher consumption due to porosity, roughness and unevenness of the support, nor losses, etc.
