The Variobox IT-Plus is available in four heights: 200 mm, 400 mm, and 600 mm, and each module is fully compatible, allowing for precise height adjustment. Thanks to its very high load resistance, high retention capacity, and innovative manufacturing system, the Variobox IT-Plus® system can be installed not only at very high heights
depths, but also at shallow depths. This advantage translates into a reduction in the amount of earth to be excavated and therefore a significant reduction in installation costs.

The system can, of course, also serve as a temporary retention basin. In this case, drainage needs to be regulated and the geotextile must be replaced with an EPDM membrane.

The Variobox IT plus® system stands out from traditional drainage systems (gravel and drainage pipes) by its very advantageous purchase price, superior quality, longevity and above all its high capacity for capture and drainage.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can this system be installed under a driveway?
   Yes, under certain conditions. Compliance with overlap heights. Use of reinforced mounting. Favorable soil study. A study or at least a technical validation is recommended.
2. What is the minimum installation depth?
   It varies depending on the type of surface covering (earth, gravel, paving stones, parking lot, etc.). The permissible load and soil permeability are also factors. Generally, the cover should be between 50 cm and 1 m, but this must be confirmed on a project-by-project basis.
3. What volume should be planned for a dwelling?
   In Belgium, calculations are often based on 50 to 70 liters per square meter of roof area, depending on the region and local requirements. Since the Variobox is modular, the volume can be easily adjusted.
4. Does the Variobox require maintenance?
   Very low. Install an inspection port. Clean the pre-filters if used. Prevent sediment or leaves from entering the system.
5. What is the lifespan of the system?
   Thanks to its reinforced design and BENOR certification, the estimated lifespan exceeds 50 years under normal installation conditions.
6. Can it be combined with a cistern or a water recovery system?
   Yes, the Variobox can act as a final infiltration of excess water as a buffer before discharge in parallel with a rainwater cistern.
7. Does the soil need to be permeable?
   Yes, for the infiltration version, otherwise the water won't be able to disperse naturally. If the soil is poorly permeable (clay, silt), a study is necessary.
