Function :

The Rosco Carodek is a waterproof and odor-proof tileable cover that can be installed both indoors and outdoors. For example in homes, garages, gardens, etc. Hatches and channel covers allow the inspection and maintenance of ducts or other underground spaces.

Made from premium aluminum, they are corrosion resistant.

It is filled with mortar or concrete and is matched to the adjacent floor covering.

The 2 keys to remove the chassis cover are delivered with the set.

The aluminum lid is lightweight, simple to place and easy to open.

Description and composition:

The hatches and channel covers have two parts:

1. Frame (marble): with sealing strip, conical in shape, so that the cover can be screwed together using socket head bolts.
2. Lid: with twisted cross frame, retained by incorporated clips. The cover can be filled with concrete on site to receive a finish in harmony with the surrounding tiling; it is screwed into the frame.

Instructions for placement and use for frame and cover to be tiled:

Placement :

1. The frames to be tiled must be installed in the closed position, i.e. the cover must be fitted into the frame.
   UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN THE FRAME BE RECESSED WITHOUT FITTING THE COVER.
2. The frame to be tiled must be laid exactly level on a bed of mortar, which means that the surface of the tiling must be level with the top surface of the frame to be tiled. The frame should not exceed the future floor level.
3. During the operation of filling the cover with concrete or screed, the thickness of the floor finishing material must be taken into account (tiles, slabs, terazzo, PVC, carpet, parquet, etc.).
   Note: The strength of the frame depends on the quality of the filling material!
4. If the cover is installed in asphalt or a magnesium-based product, the expansion of these materials must be taken into account.
5. After grouting (while cleaning the tiling surface), the cover must be removed from the frame to allow any remaining grout to be removed, and to check whether the waterproof seal is still correctly positioned.
6. Insert the cover back into the frame and screw it all together.

Open and close:

1. If applicable, remove the plastic caps with a screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the bolts using the wrench provided. (available for purchase as an accessory)
3. Screw in the provided handles as deep as possible and lift the lid.

NOTE: It is recommended to open each frame to be tiled once a year and grease the inside of the frame and bolts.
