Insulit 4+2 - Acoustic underlay for concrete floor - Insulco

Insulit 4+2 is a high-performance acoustic insulation membrane for screeds to combat impact and shock noise between floors. Its low dynamic stiffness also contributes to reducing airborne noise .

It takes place on the concrete slab before laying a floating screed at least 5 cm thick.

Composition :

Insulit 4+2 is made of a closed cell polyolefin foam , physically reticulated and bonded to a polyester acoustic felt.

It is thin , resistant and very efficient for a very attractive price.

This membrane was tested in 2017 at the BBRI according to the European standards EN ISO 717-2 and EN ISO 10140 and responds very favorably to the different acoustic requirements of the Belgian standard NBN S 01-400-1.

Facility :

1. Create a cleaning screed. Failing this, provide sand or cement coves at the crossing of the pipes.

2. Unroll the Insulit 4+2, overlapping 5 to 10 cm.

3. The maintenance of the overlaps will be ensured with the attached tape.

4. Raise the 4+2 insulit by ± 15 cm against the walls.

5. Make a screed at least 5 cm thick on the insulit 4+2.

6. Cut the excess insulit 4+2 after laying the final coating.

• Tear resistance: 50 - 50 N (EN 12310-1).
• Compression: ±10% under 2 kPa (10% tolerance).
• Thermal resistance: RD = 0.19 m² K/W (EN 823:2013).

  • λ = 0.0356 W/m K at 10°C (foam) (EN 12667:2001).

• For logistical reasons: orders that are too small or too light may be declined. In general, the minimum order is 20m², but we are still listening.
