Sikaflex-555 is a glazing adhesive that can be used without primer in construction as in car repair.

It complies with manufacturer requirements.
It is not classified according to the European Directive 25 APT (no danger symbol on the packaging).

Application areas

Sikaflex-555 is recommended for bonding glazing (construction and repair) of new generations of vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
This product is exclusively reserved for professionals.
Tests on real substrates must be carried out to check the adhesion and compatibility of the product.

Application

1. Sikaflex-555 can be applied between 5°C and 40°C (ambient and product temperature).
2. Consideration should be given to any changes in responsiveness and application properties.
3. The optimum temperature for the substrate and the sealant is between 15°C and 25°C.
4. It is important to take into account the increase in viscosity when temperatures are cold.
5. To facilitate application, warm the glue to room temperature.
6. To achieve a uniform glue thickness, it is recommended to apply the glue in the form of a triangular bead.
7. Apply Sikaflex-555 using a suitable pocket gun.
8. The skin formation time is significantly shorter in a hot and humid climate.
9. Glazing should always be installed within the stated open time.
10. Never install glazing after the adhesive has skinned.
