Sikaflex-268 is an adhesive system specially designed for the railway industry.

It is applicable for assembling and gluing window panes ; its exceptional weather resistance and specific resistance to various cleaning agents make it an ideal solution for exterior seals in the railway industry.

Sikaflex-268 is designed for the assembly and bonding of glazing in the railway industry and the repair market.
It demonstrates excellent application and smoothing qualities.

With its outstanding resistance to a wide variety of cleaning agents combined with very good weather resistance, it can be used for exterior joints.
Sikaflex-268 should only be used by experienced professionals.

Application

1. Sikaflex-268 can be used between 5°C and 40°C (climate and product) but differences in reactivity and application properties must be taken into account.
   The optimum temperature for the substrate and the product is between 15°C and 25°C.
2. Allow for higher viscosity at lower temperatures.
3. To ensure a uniform adhesive thickness it is recommended to apply the adhesive in the form of a triangular bead.
4. Sikaflex-268 can be applied manually, pneumatically or electrically by gun or pump system.
5. Open time is significantly shorter in a hot, humid climate.
6. Parts should always be installed during the open time.
7. Never join pieces if the adhesive has already formed a skin.
