Sikaflex-260 N is a single- component multi-purpose adhesive for the assembly of windows and windshields , but also for large body components in the manufacture of transport vehicles.

It is suitable for bonding coated metals , fiberglass reinforced plastics , ceramic materials and plastics.
Sikaflex-260 N has a very long open time and ensures safe application even in hot and humid weather conditions.

Application areas

Sikaflex-260 N is suitable for various applications such as bonding panels and bonding windows or windshields in the transport sector.
Suitable substrates are wood, metals and specifically aluminum (also anodized), steel sheets (also phosphated, chromed and galvanized parts), metal primers and lacquers (2-component system), ceramic materials and plastic/synthetic materials.

This product is for use by experienced professionals only.
Tests with common substrates and under local conditions should be performed to ensure proper adhesion and material compatibility.

Application

1. Sikaflex-260 N can be used between 5°C and 35°C, but take into account a change in reactivity and application properties according to temperature.
   The optimum temperature of the substrate and the glue is between +15°C and +25°C.
2. Note that the viscosity increases at low temperatures.
   For easy application, condition the glue at room temperature before starting work.
3. To obtain a uniform layer of glue, it is recommended to apply the bead of glue in a triangular shape.
4. Sikaflex-260 N can be applied with a manual, compressed air or electric gun.
5. Open time is significantly shorter in hot, humid climates.
6. The parts to be bonded must be joined within the open time.
7. Do not join any more pieces once the glue has formed a skin.
